The Sea by Sarah Reno

I must go down to the seas again
to see the water with the foamy rim.
Its beauty and its might
are overwhelming to the sight.
The light reflecting off the waters
looks much like glass as it totters.
Many waves come crashing down
on the banks with a most gentle sound.
Swirling and falling with a hum
and a soft mist that’s sure to come.
Its sweet melody calms my soul
filling me up until I am whole.
The warm sun against my face
warms me with its sweet embrace.
But then the sun begins to fade
and many new colors are swiftly made.
When that setting sun hits the surface
it feels as if everything has a purpose.
The radiant colors rapidly fade to black
but I do not dismay for they will soon be back.
