Will Cook

A water story

River's flow with melodious grace.

All is still until the leaf picks up pace.

Nothing so melodious as the stream's trickle.

The spoken splash of fish's ever-changing path of fickle.

The ocean picks up with a sound of thunder.

Slamming down everything that used to be under.

Sand crabs send messages to dig down.

While every other creature tries to stay above ground.

The tidal wave forms as the child jumps in.

Was there any madness to the wave that would win?

Chlorinated water killing all creatures.

The once trodden grass hopper had lost all of it's features.
